EXTERIORS

Painting the exterior of your home not only makes it look better--but it protects your largest investment from the elements as well. But the preparation, process and materials used can be the difference between a paint job that last for years--or one that begins to crack, peel and fade in no time. We treat each house like it is our own--which is why we warranty our work.

OUR PROCESS

PressureWashing.jpg
Step 1 - Pressure Wash

Pressure washing cleans the surface to be painted from all dirt and debris so the new paint will adhere without peeling or chipping. Allow house to dry for 48 hours before prepping and painting.

Step 2 - Scrape/Sand

Any areas that are chipping, peeling,  bubbling, loose or rough must be scraped and/or sanded prior to painting. This will ensure the new coat will look great and last for years.

Step 3 - Caulk

All nail holes, cracks, gaps and seals around windows, vents and doors are caulked to properly seal the house in order to prevent water leaks and damage.

Step 4 - Mask/Tape

All windows, trim, doors, bushes, concrete, shrubs, trees, lights, etc. are masked off and/or covered with plastic or drop cloths to created precise lines and protect against potential overspray.

Step 5 - Primer

A prime coat is required on any areas where bare wood is exposed or where a light color is covering a dark color. And oil based prime coat is required if there is any "wax bleed" from defective siding.

Step 6 - Base Color

With the prep work complete, the primary base color of the house is applied using an airless sprayer (and roller or brush where necessary). Where necessary, a second coat is applied.

Step 7 - Secondary Color

If desired, a secondary/accent color is applied to desired areas. Where necessary, a second coat is applied.

Step 8 - Trim

Finally, a trim coat is applied to all trim areas, including: gutters, eves, facia, window frames, door frames, etc. A clean trim really makes the home "pop" and look extremely professional.
